Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) is a Pakistani state-owned utility company. It was established by an act of parliament in 1957, as a mechanism for the construction and maintenance of the country’s water supply schemes, as well as the operation and maintenance of electrical power supply schemes.
Wapda was responsible for power generation and transmission throughout Pakistan until 1990 when it was split into two companies namely Water & Power Development Authority (Wapda) responsible for power generation and Transmission system, while Water & Power Development Company Limited (Wapamman) responsible for Operation & Maintenance service.
In recent years there has been some controversy over whether or not Water & Power Development Authority should be privatized; however much remains subject to debate.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must have either BS/BSc or Graduation from any recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for the reserved category). The age limit is a maximum of 28 years as of 31st December 2022.
Interested candidates may apply online at www.wapda.gov.pk, before June 05, 2022, and send their applications along with attested copies of all required documents to The Secretary (HRD), Water & Power Development Authority, Lahore within 15 days of the application submission date. Applicants will be selected purely on a merit basis based on their performance in interviews that will be held at WAPDA House, Lahore.
